#92 Mechanical Cleaning of Unlined Ditches G 20 min
Producer: IRF
Overgrowth and improper planning are just two of the factors which cause problems with ditches. This video takes a close look at the factors causing ditch problems and helps by discussing ways to alleviate such factors and make any repairs necessary.

#199 Highway Runoff Water Quality G 33 min 20 sec
Producer: Washington State DOT
This program describes a research study performed by the University of Washington on the effects of runoff from highways on the quality of water bodies receiving the drainage. The study resulted in guidelines for determining the environmental impacts of highway runoff on water quality. The guidelines cover data requirements for impact assessment and maintenance practices and special problems, such as sanding, deicing, pesticides, wood waste fills, accidental spills and involvement with ground water.

#214 Improved Inlets for Highway Curves G 17 min 30 sec
Producer: Colorado State University
This demonstration program illustrates culvert performance by comparing inlet types using a portable hydraulic plume. It compares the efficiencies of each inlet by relating head water elevation.

#221 Maintenance of Highway Safety Devices: Shoulders, Side Slopes, and Drainage G 36 min 24 sec
Producer: Florida Transportation Research Center
This video explores the purposes, safety features and maintenance techniques of highway shoulders, as well as their sideslopes and drainage features.

#223 Drainpipe Placement G 16 min 31 sec
Producer: Pennsylvania DOT
