Morris tapped to lead Public Safety & Security Division
  Elizabeth Morris has been tapped to serve as the Division Director of the TEEX Public Safety and Security Division. In the announcement, Agency Director Gary Sera praised her “wealth of experience in both public safety and security and emergency response.”

Two new Cooperative Learning Centers expand global reach
  TEEX recently added two new Cooperative Learning Centers (CLCs) in Puerto Rico and Australia to the list of companies approved to provide TEEX emergency response training to local responders and industrial clients within their respective countries. Including the new centers, TEEX now has 12 CLC partners in seven countries.

Future of emergency response? Joint exercise shows disasters may be managed from a distance
  When a group of emergency responders at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) responded to a mock earthquake in Alabama recently, they called in their on-scene reports to an incident command post hundreds of miles away in Texas. This may be the future of incident management, according to the training team running the TEEX portion of the joint exercise. The groups in Anniston, AL, and College Station, TX, were linked through a unique computer simulation training tool called the Emergency Management*Exercise System (EM*ES).

Infectious Disease Response Demonstration- MEDIA ADVISORY
  COLLEGE STATION - On Saturday, November 8th, the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, Product Development Center (TEEX PDC) will provide an opportunity for media to see demonstrations and hear explanations of skills, equipment and technologies used in infectious disease response including operations utilizing field hospitals, personal protective equipment, decontamination protocols and patient management.

Draeger’s gas detection system is TEEX-tested at Brayton Fire Training Field
  Draeger Safety Inc. called on the TEEX Product Development Center for testing and evaluation of its portable gas detection and personnel tracking system for workers who perform confined space entry. TEEX PDC evaluated and tested Draeger’s Confined Space Equipment at TEEX’s renowned fire and rescue training facility, Brayton Fire Training Field.

Texas Forensic Science Academy at TEEX receives additional funding
  The Governor’s Office, Texas Criminal Justice Division, has awarded the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) additional funding to extend existing, successful, tuition-free training through the Texas Forensic Science Academy.
