Electric Power (& Renewable Energy) Industry’s Education and Training Resource…since 1940.

Our goal, provide the highest quality training at the lowest possible cost to the electric power industry while providing you with convenient training schedules to meet your individual needs. We are continually developing and updating our curriculum to keep abreast of changing technology. Curriculum is designed to teach both the safety and technical aspects of electric power equipment.

We are devoted to providing the highest quality power system operations training. Our technical courses are designed to train:

  • electric power line workers,
  • equipment operators,
  • meter technicians,
  • substation operators,
  • construction and maintenance crews,
  • crew leaders,
  • supervisors,
  • and other staff.

Our technical instruction also extends into the realm of OSHA compliance training through an electrical standards course offered by our Region VI OSHA Training Institute Southwest Education Center in Mesquite, Texas.  The VA-approved TEEX Certified Safety and Health OfficialTM (CSHO) track are designed for personnel who perform safety and health work on a daily basis in construction environments or have safety responsibilities over others at those locations, including inspections and audits. Once you complete your CSHO track, you can further your studies by completing the required courses for an endorsement in  electric power or wind energy.

We also offer renewable energy expertise with solar photovoltaic (PV) installation training. This course will provide the foundation of knowlege and skills to build your career in the solar energy industry by completing the Photovoltaic Installer Level 1 (PVI-L1) course.  Upon completion, you will receive certification from the Electronics Technicians Association - International (ETA-I).

Our courses are available both as open enrollment (conducted at TEEX training centers) and as contract courses (conducted on-site at your facility). We can also customize the training to meet your organization's training and safety needs.

The method of instruction for each course varies from self-paced eLearning to hands-on and traditional face-to-face classroom setting. Each course is designed in a challenging manner to help achieve the maximum level of training. Skill testing is performed and continuing education credits are given for successful completion of the courses.
