NEW 1-Hour ONLINE Course: Accident Avoidance for School Bus Drivers

This online course is an interactive education tool to teach bus drivers how to recognize hazards and determine preventative measures in order to avoid collisions.

• Pre-driving preparation
• Dealing with adverse road conditions
• Avoiding common driver errors
• Dealing with tire blowout or brake failure
• Best practices at railroad crossings, in higher elevations, and when driving at nighttime or in city traffic

Audience: Texas school bus drivers statewide.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, standardized training and resources to enhance knowledge and skills for safe and effective pupil and public transportation. The program is conducted in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Association of Pupil Transportation and Texas Rural Transit Assistance Program.

Our behind-the-wheel training and customized courses for district drivers, trainers, directors, operation managers and supervisors across the state help to reduce traffic incidents and improve pupil and public transportation standards.
