Celebrating 70 years of serving law enforcement through training and technical assistance the Law Enforcement Extension program incorporates the latest technology and instructional techniques for training law enforcement professionals, across the State of Texas, the nation and the world. TEEX is licensed as a training academy by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE). Whether it's crash reconstruction, forensic crime scene investigation, or police weapons and tactics training, TEEX stands ready to train law enforcement and other first responders to meet the demands of their professions.
The 40-hour Basic Criminal Investigation Online (BCI) course is designed to provide participants with information, techniques, and procedures for performing criminal investigations. This web-based course is designed to provide the basic foundation for criminal investigators, including best practices for producing leads, interviewing witnesses, using legal instruments, and preparing cases. The practices learned in this course may be superseded by your agency departmental policy.
