SAF913 - OSHA - 10 Hour - General Industry Outreach Training - 10.00 Hours

This online course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous. The students will examine the 29 CFR 1910.
This is a 10-hour course that provides students with a basic safety and health knowledge for General Industry. Upon completion of this course, a wallet card will be issued certifying that the student has completed 10 hours of OSHA training for General Industry.
Topics
U.S. OSHA requires four specific topics be included in every 10-Hr. program, with an additional six hours of elective topics. The four required topics are, (one hour each):
- Introduction to the OSH Act, OSHA, Enforcement, and Recordkeeping
- Walking -Working Surfaces
- Means of Egress, Emergency Action Plans and Fire Protection Plans
- Electrical Safety
The six elective topics included in this program (running one-half hour to one and one-half hours in length each) are:
- Hazardous Materials
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Machinery and Machine Guarding
- Safety & Health Programs
- Hazard Communication
- Hazardous Substances and Industrial Hygiene
