Course Description


LET310 - Municipal Jailer Course - 40.00 Hours

Description

This on-line course was developed in conjunction with the Municipal Jail Association of Texas (MJAT) and provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate effectively within a municipal jail or detention facility environment. The online course consists of nine (9) learning modules. Prior to accessing the course, the participant is provided with an opportunity to download a study guide. The guide is provided to participants in an effort to enhance the retention of important course information. Once the participant has successfully completed each module, an exam is administered. After all modules have been completed, the participant will receive a comprehensive final exam. All examinations must be passed with a minimum score of 70%. Participants have three attempts to pass each module exam and one attempt to pass the final examination.

The Municipal Jailer Course course must be completed within a 45 day time period. The completion period begins once course registration has taken place.
