MAR012 - Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (TXEESTI-359) - 4.00 Hours

Description

This U.S. Coast Guard approved course offers classroom and practical training on emergency procedures, pollution prevention and safe working practices while onboard vessels and teachers skills regarding social interaction both onboard and on shore. Relationship training depicts roles and responsibilities of mariners toward each other, superiors, subordinates and others. The course also covers substance abuse awareness, stress management, sociability skills, personal excellence and awareness of the potential for discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Effects of sociability problems on personnel and shipboard safety will also be addressed. The course also demonstrates and describes appropriate stress management techniques as well as practical conflict resolution actions. Any applicant successfully completing this 4 hour course and presenting our Certificate of Training at a U.S. Coast Guard Regional Exam Center will satisfy the requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(i)(4)and Table A-V1/1-4 of the STCW Code.
