Stormwater Construction siteFailure to meet stormwater requirements on construction sites may result in significant fines. Stay informed and current in your ability to perform these important inspections. A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3) is a sediment and erosion control plan that describes all of the construction site operator’s activities to prevent stormwater contamination, control sedimentation and erosion, and comply with the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) construction general permit.

  • SWP3 review and updating
  • Site map compliance and updating
  • Best Management Practices (BMP)
  • 7/14 day inspection procedures
  • Eligible non-storm water discharges
  • Final and post construction stabilization review
  • Inspection narrative description/certification


  • Construction/Excavation Supervisors or Managers
  • Environmental Technicians
  • Environmental Engineers
  • Environmental Compliance Managers
  • Code Enforcement Professionals


Appropriate footwear and clothing is needed for wet conditions during field exercises.
