PRT146 - Legal Aspects for Environmental, Health & Safety Professionals - 23.00 Hours

Description

This course will help participants understand the legal rights and responsibilities of safety and health professionals and employers and protect their best interests while they protect the health and safety of their workers and communities.

Participants will explore the interactions between sets of federal, state and local laws, regulations, and agencies, consensus and proprietary standards, and corporate policies and their effects on risk and liability. Tactics and resources for prevention of, preparation for, and response to civil and criminal litigation will be presented. Participants should be familiar with workplace safety and health principles and OSHA regulations.
