Course Description


LET300 - Inmate Rights and Privileges - 16.00 Hours

Prerequisites

None

Description

This course provides the county corrections officer with an understanding of inmate rights and responsibilities from a case law perspective. This course is one of the intermediate core courses required by TCLEOSE rules to receive intermediate certification as a county corrections officer. Successful completion of this course will provide the participant with 16 hours of TCLEOSE credit (average online completion time is 3 hours).

The mandatory completion/duration period for this eCourse is six (6) months from the registration date.

    Audience

    Texas county and municipal jail staff responsible for inmate oversight and control within a jail facility.

    This course meets the requirements for Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) Intermediate Core Course #3502.

    Required Materials
    Participants must have a 56K modem internet connection (broadband connection recommended), a current browser (i.e., Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox 2.0 or higher, or Safari 2 or higher), Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or higher, and Adobe Flash 9.0.45.0 or higher.
