Course Description


LET520 - Emergency Vehicle Operations - 24.00 Hours

Prerequisites

None

Required Materials
Participants should bring a police vehicle that is in excellent working condition and is equipped with heavy-duty police suspension.

Description

In this 24-hour course, participants will become familiar with terminology and liability issues that relate to the operation of a police vehicle. The course includes hands-on driving exercises that will enhance officer's ability to operate a vehicle during an emergency situation. Participants will not only learn their individual vehicle control limitations but the performance limitations of their vehicles as well.

    Audience

    Participants must be currently commissioned peace officers or other law enforcement personnel. Participants must be able to operate a vehicle under moderately stressful conditions.
