Description

This class is designed to prepare ambulance providers with the information necessary to function as a Strike Team/Task Force leader in response to local, state, or national disasters. A Strike Team/Task Force could respond to prescheduled events, Multi-Casuality Incidents (MCI's), disasters, or any event in which the demands for services exceed local response capabilities and if outside support is required.

Preparation, response, and demobilization procedures will be covered, as well as necessary information to ensure the safety and well-being of those assigned to the Strike Team/Task Force. The course will also cover basic information about the Incident Command System (ICS) and forms that the Strike Team/Task Force leader will be required to fill out during a deployment.

Recommended

  • Hazardous Materials (HazMat) First Responder Operations Course
  • Basic MCI Field Operations Course
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Awareness Course
  • 1 Year Experience
