The Bucket and Digger Truck Operations course instructs participants on the safe operation of basic hydraulic systems used on both bucket and digger derrick units. During the delivery of this course, participants are provided with the procedures necessary to perform daily, weekly and monthly performance checks, preventive maintenance procedures, proper positioning, and safe operation at job sites. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have the ability to perform preventive maintenance procedures and demonstrate safe operational skills for digger derricks and bucket trucks.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
In order to fully participate in all field work exercises, students will need the following equipment; hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, work gloves, and long-sleeve shirts.
Participants should have experience driving same type and class vehicles used to operate and mobilize digger derricks and aerial equipment machinery.
