The Level 1 Electric Power Lineworker Apprenticeship Program course is designed to provide participants with a foundation of knowledge and skills for utility work. This course includes an overview of essential apprentice skills such as, wood pole climbing and basic rigging, electric power principles, bucket and digger truck operations, and personal protective grounding.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Student Must Provide
- Body belt
- Personal fall arrest system with a secondary safety device
- Climbing boots
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Rubber gloves with protectors
- Work gloves
- Long-sleeved shirt
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
