This National Fire Academy (NFA) course introduces the special characteristics of noncombustible and fire-resistive construction as it relates to the firefighting profession. Fire officers can improve their ability to ensure firefighter safety by recognizing common causes and indicators of failure and other hazards related to building construction or contents. You will be able to better predict the overall reaction of a building to fire conditions.
