Course Description

NFA logoTo provide fire, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department personnel, and other related emergency responders with the aptitudes and abilities necessary to manage the duteis and responsibilities of the Health and Safety Program Manager (HSPM) within their respective organizations.  

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Participants Must Provide

  • a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook opens in a new tab for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
  • You will need your FEMA SID3 on the first day of the course. 
  • to obtain a SID: register at https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid – Select “Need a FEMA SID?” on the right side of the screen – Follow the instructions to create your account – You will receive an email with your SID. Save this number is a secure location. 

Attendance Requirements

Persons attending should have a working knowledge of the Incident Command System.

To meet NFA attendance requirements, participants must complete each training module and successfully complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and pass the end-of-course exam to receive course completion.  During the course, your instructor will review any additional requirements.
