The Fire Marshal Discussion Series (FMDS) is an open forum where local departments and agencies can interact with the State Fire Marshal's Office (SFMO) and discuss the
topics affecting them. The forum also provides attendees with information on various topics, such as NFPA updates. The morning sessions are geared towards inspections and licensing, and the afternoon sessions are geared towards fire investigators. The FMDS hosts the series throughout the year at various Texas locations. Topics vary from location to location and year to year.
Previous agencies in attendance include: Department of Aging and Disability Services, the Department of Family and Protective Services, the Department of Licensing and Regulation and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements.
