All professionals need quality programs that offer opportunities to focus on personal leadership and problem solving. Two executive programs are available to meet those needs, with one created for elected and agency officials and the other designed for fire service professionals. To better understand their roles during a disaster, senior elected or agency officials may select among workshops and courses for all-hazards preparedness, and public information in an all-hazards incident. For fire service professionals who want to become outstanding leaders in the fire services community, courses include all levels of the Texas Fire Officer Program and the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program. The annual Leadership Development Symposium allows fire and EMS service staff and command to receive up-to-date information on leadership, management, safety, budgeting and other topics relevant to these challenging times.
