This U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved course emphasizes hands-on training that provides you with the skills necessary to effectively participate as a member of an emergency response team aboard a merchant vessel or offshore facility. This course provides personnel, licensed or unlicensed, with thorough training and hands-on practice in the techniques of marine firefighting.
This course satisfies the Fire Fighting training requirements of 46 CFR13.121(e)(3); AND the Basic Fire Fighting standards of competence required by 46 CFR 11.302(a)(2) and 12.602(a)(2); AND the Basic Fire Fighting standards of competence required by STCW Code Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-2. as amended 2010, meeting the National Assessment Guidelines from NVIC 08-14 Tasks 2.1.A through 3.8.D inclusive; AND The Basic Fire Fighting requirements in 46 CFR 11.201(h)(2) [Basic only] and 46 CFR 11.201(h)(3); AND, the Fire Fighting requirements for a national tankerman endorsement in 46 CFR 13.201(c)(3), 13.301(c)(3); 13.401(d) and 13.501(c)(3). USCG Approved Curriculum MAR002 Advanced Marine Firefighting
The Advanced Marine Firefighting course emphasizes hands-on training to provide you with the skills necessary to effectively lead an emergency response team aboard a merchant vessel or offshore facility. Supplementing the hands-on training are classroom sessions utilizing discussion, demonstrations, case histories, and visual presentations.
The course exceeds International Maritime Organization (IMO), Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW), and U.S. Coast Guard advanced firefighting training requirements.
This course satisfies the competency requirements of Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010, and NVIC 09-14, for Advanced Fire Fighting and will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(h), and 11.303(a). Applicants are not required to present completed record of assessment sheets when applying for the STCW endorsement.  Show less

USCG Approved Curriculum MAR003 Combined Marine Firefighting (Basic & Advanced)
The Combined Marine Firefighting course uses both classroom based lecture and hands-on training to provide you with the skills necessary to effectively lead an emergency response team aboard a merchant vessel or offshore facility. 
You will be assigned to various positions on emergency response teams and will be asked to respond to different live-fire situations as an organized unit. As part of an attack team and scene leader, you will assess the situation, decide on a course of action and implement chosen tactics to successfully control the incident.
This course satisfies the requirements of Fire Prevention and Fire Protection per STCW Code, as amended 2010, Section A-VI/1; Advanced Fire Fighting per STCW Code, as amended 2010, Section A-VI/3; Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(2) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(2); Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting per 46 CFR 11.201(h)(2) and 46 CFR 11.201(h)(3); Advanced Fire Fighting per 46 CFR 11.303(a); and Firefighting requirements for a national tankerman endorsement in 46 CFR 13.201(c)(3), 13.301(c)(3); 13.401(d); and 13.501(c)(3).  Show less

This U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved course is intended to teach you the proper actions and survival techniques to ensure safety in the event of an emergency evacuation/abandonment from a vessel. The course utilizes classroom discussion and practical in-water exercises to demonstrate the proper use, location, and inspection of survival equipment.
Successful completion of this course will satisfy the requirements of 46 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 10.205(l)(1) and the requirements of Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-1 of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) code. This five-day STCW Basic Training course is comprised of four U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved courses: Personal Survival Techniques, First Aid & CPR, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility and Basic Marine Firefighting.
This training is required of seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity onboard ship, on the business of that ship as part of the ship’s complement with designated safety, or on pollution prevention duties in the operation of the ship.
The course is designed to meet or exceed the mandatory minimum requirements as set forth in Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) code, Chapter VI, Section A-VI/1, Tables A-VI/1-1, A-VI/11-3 and A-VI/1-4 respectively. Show less

Applicants successfully completing this 30 hour Proficiency in Survival Craft course will satisfy the competency requirements of Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW code, as amended 2010, for Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC) and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats and will satisfy the professional examination and practical demonstration requirements of 46 CFR 12.407(b)(3) for endorsements for Lifeboatman and PSC.
