Twenty students graduated from the inaugural Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (FSCEO) program held in June at the Center for Executive Development on the Texas A&M Campus. The capstone program for fire service leaders is a joint initiative between TEEX and the Texas A&M University Mays Business School.
Professors from the Mays Business School led sessions on the challenges of leadership, ethics, creativity and innovation, strategic management and planning, managing change and transition, finance for executives, media relations and stress management.
Attendees gave outstanding reviews of the new program. “The FSCEO program is second to none!” said Victor Conley, Acting Chief, Irving Fire Department. “The executive training I received through the FSCEO program was impressive, insightful, and without a doubt most impacting of all the officer development programs offered. I would like to say thank you to TEEX, and keep up the incredible training for the fire service.”
Lewis Everett, Chief of Lackland AFB Fire Department, commented: “Outstanding course! Great information that will benefit all Senior Fire Service Officers.”
