Five employees honored with 2013 Distinguished Service Award

COLLEGE STATION - Five employees received the Distinguished Service Award from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) on Dec. 13, during an awards ceremony at the Brazos County Expo Complex. The employees were recognized with the agency’s highest honor for their outstanding efforts and dedication in serving the agency, the state of Texas and the nation.

Employees receiving the Distinguished Service Award were Martha Alexander, Employee Benefits Coordinator; Jose Garza, Tejeda Center Project Coordinator; Mary Jasek, OSHA Training Institute Education Center; John Sisario, Senior Training Specialist with Public Safety and Security; and Brian Stipe, Director of Contract Services.

For more than 25 years, the Distinguished Service Award has embodied the true essence of being a TEEX employee, recognizing attributes such as dedication, extraordinary effort and excellence, a positive attitude, concern for quality and customer service. Award recipients received a framed certificate, a TEEX commemorative coin and a monetary gift.

Employees are nominated for the award by their coworkers and selected by TEEX Division Directors and Senior Executive Staff. Eligible employees must have at least three years of service.
