Texas Task Force 1 deploys water rescue teams to rain-soaked Cooke County

Texas Task Force 1, or TX-TF1, has deployed two water rescue teams to Cooke County, which sustained devastating flooding in Gainesville only a week ago.

These 15 members of TX-TF1 will remain on standby as part of the proactive approach initiated by the Governor’s Division of Emergency Management.

Texas Task Force 1 is sponsored by the Texas Engineering Extension Service, or TEEX, and is comprised of more than 300 personnel from across the state of Texas.
