COLLEGE STATION, TX — The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a member of the Texas A&M University System, today announced the reorganization of its operational structure.
TEEX is headquartered in College Station and operates regional training centers and offices around the state, including Austin, Corpus Christi, Galveston, Houston, Mesquite, San Antonio, El Paso, Laredo, Tyler, Kilgore and Eagle Mountain Lake.
“The reorganization is purely administrative and will not affect the training services we currently deliver or eliminate any employee positions,” said TEEX Director Robert L. Smith. “This effort will be transparent to our students, but will enhance our efficiency as we provide training and services for the citizens and communities of Texas.”
Bill May, who has served as Director of the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC) since 1999, has been named Associate Agency Director for Operations and will be responsible for the coordination of all TEEX training and service programs.
Beth Eby, who has served as Tejeda Center Director since 2000, has been named Center Director and will coordinate the operations and activities of the three TEEX programs located in San Antonio: Career Advancement & Applied Technology Training Division, South Central Texas Regional Training Center and Tejeda Center for Environmental Excellence.
