Valero Energy Corporation sent 167 firefighters representing 14 of its refineries to TEEX’s Brayton Fire Training Field May 23-25 to learn advanced exterior firefighting and emergency command and control operations.
Valero includes retail fuel sites such as Diamond Shamrock, Ultramar, Beacon and Total. Employees who trained at TEEX not only came from Texas, but also as far as Aruba, Canada, New Jersey, California, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
TEEX is recognized as the world’s premier emergency services training institute. Each year, TEEX trains more than 70,000 firefighters and emergency responders from throughout Texas, all 50 states and more than 40 countries.
