  • TEEX Employees Receive Distinguished Service Awards

COLLEGE STATION — Ten employees of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) received Distinguished Service Awards on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in College Station during the agency’s annual awards ceremony.

Receiving the agency’s highest employee honor were Janet Spitzenberger in the administrative and clerical category; Lanny Pipkin in the skilled craft service category; and Lynn Rawls and Susan Slagle in the professional staff category. Instructional staff awards went to Kent Gardner, Lee Ramirez and Joe Smith. Billy Parker received an award for outstanding program management and Vince Riggins was presented with the Director’s award. Bethany Broyles was honored with TEEX’s Distinguished Student Employee Award.

For more than 20 years, the Distinguished Service Award has embodied the true essence of being a TEEX employee, recognizing attributes such as honesty, loyalty, integrity, dedication, hard work, selfless service and a positive attitude.

A member of The Texas A&M University System, TEEX offers hands-on, customized training, exercises, technical assistance and technology transfer services impacting Texas and beyond. TEEX programs include fire, homeland security, law enforcement, public works, safety and health, search and rescue and technology transfer.
