COLLEGE STATION – Lesa Hill has been named Division Director of TEEX’s Technology and Economic Development Division (TED). Hill, who joined TEEX in 1993, has served as Interim Division Director for TED since March 2007.
Before her appointment, she served as Program Director, Program Manager and Marketing Manager for TED. She established TED’s Knowledge Engineering Center in 1998 and serves as its Director. Hill was instrumental in launching the Rural Economic and Tourism Development Seminar series and the Technical Assistance for Regional Growth in Economic DevelopmenT (TARGET) program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Texas and a master’s of educational human resource development from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Technical Trainer and completed the Leadership Texas program in 2006.
In announcing Hill’s appointment, TEEX Director Gary Sera said, “Over the past 10 months, Lesa has demonstrated her skill and leadership in this role. She has expanded the Economic Development Program and been very instrumental in the formation of the Product Development Center. Under her leadership, the future looks very bright for TED.”
