Three instructors in TEEX’s Electric Power Training and Safety Division have obtained national certification as Certified Technical Trainers.
Those meeting the national qualification standards for CTT are Dan Gray, training coordinator; Craig Roberts, assistant training specialist; and John Morton, instructor.
To become a CTT, an instructor must pass a computer-based exam on the 14 instructor competencies outlined by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstpi). For the second part of the certification, the instructor must provide a 20-minute video of a classroom presentation that demonstrates the 14 competencies.
The Chauncey Group International Ltd. administers the exam and reviews the video. After successfully completing both parts of the process, the instructor is certified as a CTT.
All three instructors have also completed TEEX’s Advanced Instructional Methods (AIM) trainer certification program.
