  • 1999 TEEX Staff Conference celebrates 80 years of service

TEEX employees from across the state joined together Dec. 9 to celebrate TEEX’s 80th anniversary at the annual Staff Conference, which examined “Partnerships: The Power of TEEX.” The Staff Conference was held at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in College Station.

Highlights of the day included addresses by TEEX director Dr. Kem Bennett and keynote speaker Dr. Barrie Richardson of Centenary College. Retirees were recognized and Years of Service Awards were presented to 61 employees who celebrated 5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year service anniversaries in 1999.

Seven employees were honored with TEEX’s highest award, the Distinguished Service Award. They were Johnny Contreras, Larry Dyer, Robert Fischer, Timothy Miskimen, Craig Roberts, Stephanie Visnich and Cary Young.
