No one likes to think about disasters–particularly severe pandemics with the potential to affect millions of people around the world. While there is no method for predicting when a pandemic will hit or how sever it will become, the potential impact can affect every aspect of our daily lives. The problem with failing to plan for disasters is that they do happen, and when they happen, it is the most vulnerable who usually suffer the most.
This course will provide awareness of pandemic safe practices, including response planning, cleaning and disinfection, case reporting, and resource and security management for long-term care facilities during pandemics.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
