This 16-hour course provides a review of ladder logic circuits used in industrial and facility applications where electrical relay logic circuits are used to control equipment. Rather than the traditional lecture based training, this course focuses on hands-on practical applications of control where students actually build and troubleshoot the circuits themselves using a specially designed trainer.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
A basic knowledge of electricity is presumed.
- Ladder diagrams
- Buck/boost transformers
- AC and DC power
- Basic three-phase power distribution systems
- Power factor and power factor correction
- Troubleshooting techniques
Maintenance technicians and electricians or anyone with an interest in industrial controls.
