The Lean Overview Fundamentals course provides an explanation of Lean concepts and shows typical applications where these tools are used in the manufacturing environment. This is strictly a lecture driven training event.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
- Introduction to Lean Manufacturing
- Discussion on Standardized Work, 5-S System, Visual Controls, and Plant Layout
- Discussion on Teams, Quick Changeover, Batch Reduction, Point-of-Use Storage, and Quality at the Source
- Pull/Kanban, Cellular Flow, and TPM
