Course Description

Utilities Industry ProfessionalThe Cable Fault Locating course provides participants with information and best practices surrounding proper use and coordination when cable fault problems are being evaluated. During the course, students are provided guidance on the steps necessary to locate the path and depth of cables as well as determine the appropriate type of test equipment needed to perform such tasks.

  • Locating Resistive Faults
  • Locating Open Faults
  • Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR)
  • Locating Buried Cable Path and Depth
  • Locating Shield Faults in Buried Cables

This course is designed for cable technicians and personnel responsible for locating cables and cable faults.
