Course Description

This module identifies the types of customers who benefit from semiconductor processing and their expectations and describes how quality control is achieved in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Attendance Requirements

To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.

  • Customer expectations from semiconductor manufacturers
  • Four main work groups within a typical fab
  • Purpose of statistical process control in semiconductor processing
  • Purpose of total quality control and SPC in integrated circuit design and fabrication
  • Purpose of TQC and SPC in quality and reliability issues
  • Two types of customers involved in semiconductor manufacturing
