Course Description
The International Zoning Code course provides training designed to prepare industry professionals for final proficiency testing through the International Code Council (ICC). During the course, participants receive information surrounding uniform zoning ordinances and consistent application of model code regulations necessary to safeguard the public health and safety in all communities. The course targets code officers, building code officials, city planners, and developers with responsibility for uniformity and consistency in zoning for state and local facilities. Once the course is completed participants will have met all requirements necessary to schedule and sit for final certification testing arranged through ICC. All exam fees associated with certification testing are collected by ICC once a testing date is arranged.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide
- a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
