Course Description

Electric Power Hot Stick OperationsThe Introduction to Hot Stick Operations course provides participants instruction in the maintenance of transmission and distribution circuits using live-line tools and associated equipment. At the completion of the course, participants will have the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to properly select and use hot line tools to perform work on both distribution and transmission systems.

Prerequisites

TEEX Certification/Licensing Requirement

Participants must provide evidence of completion of the TEEX Wood Pole Climbing (EPP001) course or equivalent training verified by their current employer through a completed Student Qualification Form. This prerequisite may be accomplished by uploading a copy of the documents during registration using the TEEX Student Portal. Once received and approved, the participant will be notified by email they have met all prerequisites and have been added to the class roster. All documentation is due at least 14 business days prior to the start of class.
