The Fiber Optic Troubleshooting course introduces participants to the fundamentals of troubleshooting fiber optic systems. During the course, students are provided with several hands-on opportunities to work through real-life scenarios using various types of fiber optic test equipment to locate, analyze, and correct trouble related to a fiber optic network.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
- Introduction to Fiber Optic Communication
- Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)
- Power Meter/Light Source
This course is designed for technicians and personnel involved in the classification and isolation of faults in optical fiber cables.
