DESCRIPTION:1500 4th St\, Bryan\, TX 77807 \n\n\n\nAdmission to this Summit is offered at no cost for law enforcement professionals for 2026! Join us on Wednesday\, March 25\, 2026 for a day of hands-on\, practical application emergency driving skills! This event is being run by TEEX and is open to Alert International Region 5 members as well as non-members who are law enforcement emergency driving instructors. \n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\nTimeDescription8:00Check-In8:00 to 10:00Electric Vehicle and Li-Ion Battery Safety Challenges for Law Enforcement10:00 to 10:30Transition to track10:30 to 11:30Track Session 111:30 to 12:30Lunch12:30 to 1:30Track Session 21:30 to 2:30Track Session 32:30 to 3:30Track Session 43:30 to 4:30Track Session 54:30 to 5:00Wrap-Up and Closing\n\n\n\nParticipants in the Summit will rotate between all driving track sessions to cover the following skills: backing\, precision\, oval\, obstacle\, and lane change.  \n\n\n\nAttendee Registration\n\n\n\nPlease register below to attend the Emergency Driving Summit. \n\n\nRegister as an Attendee Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnrollment Requirements\n\n\n\nYou are required to have a valid driver’s license. You do not have to submit a copy of the driver’s license to enroll; however you must bring it with you to class. \n\n\n\nUpon registration\, you will receive a Driver Safety Agreement. Please sign and upload the document to your myTEEX Student Portal within 48 hours of receipt to successfully complete registration. The preferred document naming convention is “Last Name\, First Name – Document.” Participants will be contacted via email to confirm approval and admittance into the Summit. \n\n\n\nEquipment\n\n\n\n\nProvide a suitable emergency vehicle in excellent working condition. It is recommended that each participant bring a vehicle to maximize driving time towards achieving successful course completion. If an agency needs participants to share a vehicle\, submit the written request via email to law@teex.tamu.edu at least two weeks prior to the Summit start date.\n\n\n\nVehicle must be equipped with heavy-duty suspension and be in good mechanical condition.\n\n\n\nTwo mounted spare tires are required during driving exercises. Seriously worn tires are considered hazardous and may not be allowed during exercises.\n\n\n\n\nNote: A truck is not considered a suitable emergency vehicle for the purposes of this Summit. \n\n\n\nCredits\n\n\n\nParticipants are eligible for 7 hours of TCOLE credit upon completion of the Summit.
