  • Houston Center celebrates 4th anniversary

TEEX celebrated the fourth anniversary of the establishment of its Houston Regional Training Center at 2002 Wayside on Oct. 19.

On hand were Jim Branton of Branton Communications, who served as moderator; Kem Bennett, TEEX director; and Ann Hamilton of Houston Endowment Inc.
Bennett expressed his appreciation to Hamilton and Houston Endowment Inc. for supporting the center through funding scholarships, training equipment and facilities.

The event included a ribbon cutting and dedication of a welding facility and training program honoring the Houston Endowment.

Also recognized were the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word for generously supporting the Wayside facility. In addition, Bennett acknowledged the contributions of other donors including Carrier Houston, Central City Industrial Park, Baker Hughes Inc., Contractor’s Supplies, Hajoca Inc., Hughes Christensen Company, Industrial Air Tool, Marek Brothers, Systems Ridge, S-B Power Tool Company, SkilBosch, The Litwin Corporation and the Texas Department of Economic Development.
