  • Jackie Gorman inducted into San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame

Jackie Gorman, division head of the TEEX Career Advancement and Applied Technology Training Division, was inducted into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame on March 21.

She was honored in the “education” category for her efforts at CAAT, where “more than 90 percent of students complete their training and more than 80 percent are placed in unsubsidized employment.” Gorman was the first African-American and one of the first women to serve as a division head for TEEX. She has been with TEEX for 15 years, and became division head at CAAT in 1996.

Gorman was one of 11 new members inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame. “San Antonio Women’s Celebration and Hall of Fame is honored to recognize these outstanding women who have helped shape San Antonio by contributing their talents and skills to our city’s growth and development,” said the organization’s president Margie Rust.

I’m amazed at the amount of material (and varying types) that we were provided. The inclusion of the house scenarios was an incredible learning tool.
