Semiconductor Nuts and Bolts, the follow on to the popular Semiconductor Pocket Guide with a Semiconductor Acronym Cross-reference, has hit the market.

This handy pocket guide, written and published by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), explains the design and operation of semiconductor devices and includes topics such as diodes, transistors, linear devices, digital devices and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). The job aide also features illustrated circuit configurations and a reference section devoted to schematic symbols.

Pat Wallace, author of Semiconductor Nuts and Bolts, explains, "The first pocket guide was designed to explain how semiconductor devices are made. Semiconductor Nuts and Bolts explains how semiconductor devices are developed and how they work."
