Six employees with the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) were honored recently at its annual Staff Conference at the Hilton Conference Center in College Station.

The employees were recognized for their extra effort, dedication, enthusiasm, concern for quality and overall employee excellence with Distinguished Service Awards. The Distinguished Service Award is the highest award that any employee can receive from TEEX.

Cindi Anderson of Milano, Donny Boggs of Bryan and Craig Kartye of Galveston received the Distinguished Service Award for instructional staff. Anderson is a program coordinator with the Law Enforcement and Security Training Division, and Boggs is an assistant training specialist with the Emergency Services Training Institute. Kartye is an assistant training specialist with the Center for Marine Training and Safety in Galveston, a part of the Emergency Services Training Institute.

Senior staff accountant Sandra McKemie, of Caldwell, won the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding administrative support in the general category.

Bobbi Dorsey of College Station and Eloisa Clack of San Antonio won the award for outstanding support service. Dorsey is an accounting assistant II with the Technology and Economic Development Division, and Clack is staff assistant with the South Central Texas Regional Training Center in San Antonio.

Each year, TEEX employees nominate candidates for the Distinguished Service Awards and a selection committee chooses the winners.
