Eastman Chemical Co. has recently contributed a new LPG Response Management project located near the marine training section of the Brayton Fire Training Field.

The apparatus is designed to train firefighters who face pressure gas fires within their chemical plant facilities, said Pat Barrett, program manager for the Emergency Services Training Institute. The prop was used for the first time during the Industrial Annual Fire School in July.

The construction of this prop took two days to complete and was facilitated by TEEX and Eastman volunteers who furnished material, manpower and training for the project. The pipe frame for the prop is 40 feet by 40 feet and houses a two-tiered deluge sprinkler system.
