TEEX Public Safety and Security Offering Free Spanish Course

5/24/2004 12:00 AM

Texas law enforcement officers now have a greater opportunity to serve their communities through enhanced capabilities provided by a law enforcement tuition reduction program. This is made available by funds provided through a Texas General Revenue Award.

General Revenue funds will be used to implement delivery of free classes in Intermediate Spanish for Law Enforcement Professionals. These classes are offered in partnership between the Councils of Government and TEEX. The COG’s provide contact to agencies and the class locations. TEEX provides the instructors, manuals and other course materials. The reduced tuition and partnerships with COG’s within all regions of the state will make TEEX training available to more officers.

Additional information on how to participate in this unique program can be obtained by calling TEEX – Public Safety & Security.
