TEEX unveiled a redesign of its Web site (www.teex.com) on Sept. 1 to make it easier for customers and other audiences to learn about the agency and to search and register for a course. Among the numerous graphic and organizational updates to the site, the redesign features several new enhancements:

  • The home page has three ways to find a TEEX course – through the Search TEEX and Course Catalog buttons at the top of the screen, or through the Training and Services pull-down menus below the banner. The pull-down menus contain all of the information listed on the previous teex.com home page.

  • It includes detailed overviews of the agency's seven major program areas: fire, homeland security, law enforcement, public works, safety & health, search & rescue and technology transfer.

  • The course catalog listing is based on core competencies.

  • The latest news section will include press releases, new courses, trade show exhibit appearances and other major developments.

  • Other changes include new and updated content and the addition of start times to course listings.
"We think the redesign and reorganization of teex.com will enhance our current customers' experience and better market our agency to potential customers," said Rick McCreary, information systems director. "A key thing to keep in mind is that the Web site is dynamic. This is just the first step in a continual process of updating, adding and better organizing our programs and services and marketing the agency."
