Description
The International Residential Code (IRC) course provides training designed to prepare industry professionals for final proficiency testing through the International Code Council (ICC). During the course, participants are provided with information surrounding the important role they play in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of citizens by creating safe buildings and communities. The IRC was originally established to serve as a comprehensive code designed to help regulate building construction and facilitate the administration of those projects. Training received during this course will cover basic aspects of the IRC, provide participants with a foundation specific to building construction regulations and linked administrative responsibilities, and provide students with effective methods of navigating through the IRC to help quickly find all desired information. Once the course is completed participants will have met all requirements necessary to schedule and sit for final certification testing arranged through ICC. All exam fees associated with certification testing are collected by ICC once a testing date is arranged.
