The Backhoe Operator Proficiency course provides experienced operators with the concepts, objectives, and safety of using backhoe equipment in various types of construction settings to include building construction sites, road and highway construction, oil field and pipeline work, and underground utilities excavation and installation. During the course, participants are provided over 12 hours of hands-on training utilizing the TEEX Heavy Equipment Field to help document operator proficiency in the areas of safety, use application, and industry best practices specific to overall equipment operation.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Student must provide:
- Hard hat
- Steel-toed footwear
- Visibility safety vest
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
