During training, students are provided information surrounding new devices for use when working a traffic control site as well as set up recommendations for improved access by both motorists and road workers. During the course, instructors lead discussions and scenario setting exercises specific to common highway projects administered by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

During training, students are provided information surrounding new devices for use when working a traffic control site as well as set up recommendations for improved access by both motorists and road workers. During the course, instructors lead discussions and scenario setting exercises specific to common highway projects administered by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

Prerequisites

TEEX Certification/Licensing Requirement

The participant must show evidence of completion of one of the following courses at least 14 business days prior to the start of class.

This prerequisite may be accomplished by uploading a copy of the certificate of completion after registration using the TEEX Student Portal within 14 days prior to the beginning of class. Once received and approved, the participant will be notified by email they have met all prerequisites and have been added to the class roster.

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
