Description
The NFPA 1521 Incident Safety Officer non-certification course provides students with a solid foundation and knowledge to identify and analyze safety concerns and to communicate recommended solutions to the command authority. The class focuses on industrial emergency scene operations using the Incident Command System (ICS). You will gain confidence in your ability to handle a variety of emergency situations through classroom exercises, including building an incident safety plan.

Course Completion Requirements
Course Attire
For classroom activities, students must wear full length pants, closed-toe shoes, and short sleeve/ long sleeve shirts (no sleeveless shirts).
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
