The Cranes And Material Handling course introduces participants to various types of mobile cranes and provides intermediate information concerning crane operations, inspection, maintenance, load charts, and corresponding Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. During the course, scenario-based exercises are used to help students apply proper OSHA and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. During exercises students are led through procedures required to properly review load charts and rigging tables; all designed to help prevent accidents.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 100% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed.
